We are happy to welcome you to the 65th LMFA football season !
Our 2023 plans are of course subject to change, but we anticipate another great year of tackle football this fall.
We are also hosting a summer football weekly skills camp, and planning on flag football for this summer.
Details of these two programs are on our website.
Fall tackle registration will open in early March and is as always first come, first serve.
Our season is scheduled to run from mid August to early November, with 2 practices per week and games on Sundays.
General Information:
New players will register for LMFA, not for a specific team.
Age division for 2023 are as follows:
U10 – ages 7 to 9 (born in 2014, 2015, 2016)
U12 – ages 10 and 11 (born in 2012, 2013)
U14 – ages 12 and 13 (born in 2010,2011)
Players will be assigned to teams by the LMFA board based on where you live.
Teams fill up on a first come, first serve basis so players signing up early have a better chance of playing on their preferred team.
We also have to ensure that roster numbers are balanced out across all teams.
We will make every effort to honour requests and to keep players in their geographic areas.
Your registration includes use of all football equipment (which must be returned to us promptly after the season).
There is no league wide fund raising, however each team is responsible for their own team party.
Details on the season:
The season starts with equipment fitting and pre-season practice in August.
In August, practice starts on (approx.) August 15th and runs 3 times per week.
After Labour Day, practices are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm at various locations across London and St Thomas.
Games are mostly played on Sundays at Citywide Park on Commissioners Road East from September thru mid November.
U10 games are mostly on Sunday morning followed by U12 and U14 games in the afternoon.
There could be some Friday and Saturday games under the lights as well.
The London Minor – Windsor Minor all star games are tentatively scheduled for London this year in late November.
